Runs along Ocean Boulevard with a back drop of fine homes and mansions. Restrooms and shower
facilities. Lifeguards on duty. Tidepools, fishing in front of the Hotel del Coronado. Fire rings, dog run
at north end. Free parking on Ocean Boulevard.
Beach accessible wheelchairs are available to the public, free of charge, at the Central Beach Lifeguard
Tower.
Glorietta Bay Beach Located South of the Hotel del Coronado and City Hall, the Glorietta Bay Beach
offers a unique view of the Glorietta Bay and the San Diego- Coronado Bridge. With a large grass-filled
park, restrooms, playground equipment, and a small beach area, the Glorietta Bay Beach can provide
hours of fun, and a relaxing time for all individuals.
Silver Strand State Beach
Located 4.5 miles south of Coronado Village along the Silver Strand. Fire rings, lifeguards, restrooms,
showers. An underpass allows access to bayside beach and picnic area and Loews Coronado Bay Resort.

CORONADO BRIDGE The 11,179-foot-long (3,407 m or 2.1 mi) bridge ascends from Coronado at a 4.67 percent grade before curving 80 degrees toward San Diego. The span reaches a maximum height of 200 feet (61m), allowing the U.S. Navy ships which operate out of the nearby Naval Station San Diego to pass underneath it. The five-lane bridge features the longest box girder in the world.The Coronado Bridge Construction started in February 1967, and the bridge was opened to traffic on August 3, 1969, during the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the founding of San Diego.
