The above FMM form must be fill out when entering Mexico, you will be ask the purpose of your trip usually is tourism or business. The Immigration agent will retain the blue part and give you the GREEN part in the back of it the immigration agent will stamp it and indicate the days granted usually is 180 days. Make sure you return it before it expires and get an exit stamp to prevent delays in your future visit to Mexico.
Where Can I obtain an FMM? If you are in the following list of nationalities you can obtain it when you enter Mexico by AIR,SEA OR BY LAND: Nationalities eligible for an FMM VISA; Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Chile, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, *Hong Kong,* Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta Monaco, Norway New, Zealand, Poland Portugal, San Marina, Singapore, Slovenia, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Uruguay, United States of America. * Chinese citizens with passports issued by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region*
Note: If your nationality is not in the above list you need special visa and must be obtained in the nearest Mexican Consulate where you reside, if you live in U.S.A. Click here If you have a valid visa for U.S. You do not need to obtain a visa in the Mexican Consulates you can obtain the FMM FORM the same way as the above nationalities.
What are the requirements to obtain an FMM Form?
Requirements to obtain an FMM FORM:

- Valid Passport
- The FMM fee is about $24,00, U.S. If traveling by land payable to any Mexican bank, the
immigration officer at the port of entry will indicate you the closest bank usually is in the same building. Tijuana Immigration INM office and Banjercito bank are open 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Note: If you travel by AIR INTERNATIONAL the FMM visa fee is included in the airfare ticket. If you fly domestic you need to pay the $24.00, at the airport. In all the airports in Mexico you find INM office and an immigration agent for all flight departures and arrival.
Effective May 1, 2010, you can conduct any business in Mexico with an FMM BUSINESS FORM it is not necessary to have an FM3 in you work for a U.S. Company and you are paid in U.S.
IF YOU HAVE ASC AND VISA INTERVIEW APPOINTMENTS IN ANY U.S. CONSULATE IN MEXICO, AND YOU HAVE A VALID U.S. VISA YOU CAN OBTAIN THE FMM AT THE BORDER.
IF YOUR U.S. VISA IS EXPIRED AND YOUR NATIONALITY IS NOT IN THE ABOVE LIST YOU NEED TO APPLY FOR A MEXICO VISA IN THE NEAREST CONSULATE IN YOUR AREA THEN YOU CAN STOP AT THE BORDER AN OBTAIN THE FMM FORM.
